Okay, so, here it is.
My first blog post.
I've been playing around on Blogger for weeks and weeks, trying to figure it out, trying to come up with a name that hadn't been taken yet, trying to write my first post. I decided a "what's in my handbag" would be the best post to start off with; it gives people a peek into your world, not to mention I love reading these posts. Because I'm going to Turkey soon for an exciting/nerve-wrecking/life-changing trip, I wanted to show you what I'll be packing into my carry-on bag.
Without further ado, here it is!
1. My make-up bag.
(Superdrug, Zoella Just Say Yes Beauty Bag, £8.00)
I usually like to board a plane with minimal make-up and apply it before landing. The few things I could never leave out of my make-up bag are moisturiser, concealer, eyeliner, lip balm and mascara. I feel like no matter how jet-lagged you look, these items are bound to save you.
2. Laptop
(MacBook Air, 11")
If you're lucky enough to have in-flight entertainment, then this one might not appeal to you as much. I, personally, will be taking my laptop with me because I definitely am not the kind of person who can sleep on planes. Instead of wasting time trying to sleep, I like to either get some work done or watch a movie (hmm... which one's more productive?).
3. Headphones
(Sony, ZX310 On-Ear Headphones, £14.99)
These headphones are so good! Because they aren't the kind you put into your ears, they don't end up getting uncomfortable-- which, when travelling, is crucial.
4. Phone
(Phone case from H&M, £5.99)
5. Charger
Although you probably won't be able to charge your phone while traveling (unless you're in First Class), I always find it useful to have my charger on me for the airport. They tend to have power points in a lot of places and having 100% battery on my phone before I board a plane always comforts me.
6. Book
(Treasure Yourself, Miranda Kerr)
In case your laptop and phone simultaneously run out of battery. Or you just like reading (like I do).
7. Gum & Sweets
I cannot emphasise the importance of gum on plane. My. Ears. Always. Pop. Although it doesn't stop them from popping, it does tend to help reduce the pain. Similarly, hard-boiled sweets seem to have the same effect.
8. Perfume
(Incredible Things, Taylor Swift, £24.99)
Of course I can't go anywhere without perfume and this mini bottle is so useful, not to mention pretty.
And that's all! Let's hope this list helps me remember to pack everything and don't forget to leave a comment if you think I missed anything out!
Until next time,
